In the GET lab of Avans University of Applied Sciences, care providers experience how to use technology in a valuable way in the care of, for example, the elderly.

Education, research and the professional field come together in the GET labs in Breda and Den Bosch. The aim is to join forces and provide a place where (future) healthcare professionals can develop into care providers who provide customized care using technology.

Come and visit the GET lab with your colleagues and get to work with different sorts of technologies. Discover the possibilities of, for example, social robots, virtual reality and various technologies to support, activate or connect people. In addition to our students and healthcare professionals, volunteers from healthcare are also welcome in our lab. And we are happy to discuss possible collaborations with healthcare organizations and other parties. Make an appointment or ask your questions via

NICCoLLa collaborative netwerk

During the NICCoLLa project, the exchange of knowledge and information between testbeds and labs have provided a strong base for transdisciplinary and transnational, as well as national, cooperation. It has also provided interesting insights into how co-creative collaboration with different labs and knowledge environments can be done in the future to develop technology that can support the needs of the patient/client.

Different testbeds and labs have different ways to work with the development of technology in health and wellbeing. The focus can either be on education, like “learning through labs”, or developing health technology and promoting business or a combination of them both.

In the visualization below, we have drawn different laboratories that have been identified during the NICCoLLa project in desk research or interviewed in the project’s partner countries.
